The Interventional Cardiology Section at BIDMC/Harvard Medical School features in its faculty ranks leaders and pioneers in the field of Interventional Cardiology and Angiogenesis. Among the faculty ranks are level III (expert) operators in all aspects of interventional cardiology including all approved and investigational devices including angioplasty, stenting, directional and rotational atherectomy, saphenous graft interventions, distal protection devices, intramyocardial injections, radiation therapy, valvuloplasty, intracardiac defect closure, and laser myocardial revasularization. The interventional cardiology staff tackle complex and high risk interventions referred by other interventional cardiologists from all around the nation and the world. These staff members are featured speakers in most major National and International meetings and proctor various cardiologists on novel interventional procedures.
